Since the boyfriend has to work weekends now, I wandered around town and went to a few thrift stores and an estate sale to keep myself entertained. How is that different from the weekends when he didn't work, you ask? When I go alone, there's no one to talk sense into me and my inner hoarder. Luckily I didn't get myself into too much trouble this time.
I found...
I found...
A big wooden drawer. I have no idea what I'll do with it but it was too pretty to leave behind.
Mao checked it out to make sure it was okay.
Two adorable little hand embroidered pieces.
Two metal kitty figurines.
Three old painted doorknobs. No idea where I'll put them. I just have a thing for doorknobs.
And a velvety red hat.
I left the room for a minute, and came back to this. I think Miss Monk is confused about how to wear a hat.
Total spent: $20.
That wooden drawer is a find! I love those! I love old door knobs as well! So many great finds!
ReplyDeleteYou should contact me next time you go estate sale hunting. Last time I went to one, I found really nice silver platters for cheap!
ReplyDeleteOh my I love those metal kitties! And I love your kitties. I was at work yesterday and these two people were talking about their kitties and I just wanted to jump in and bust out the pictures on my phone of mine and tell them all about my cats. I figured that would be creepy :)
ReplyDelete@Jenny: Isn't that drawer awesome? I just wish I knew what to do with it!
ReplyDelete@Liliana: Next time I find one that looks good, I'm totally kidnapping you and taking you with me!
@Consider my dear: Yay kitties! I'm a big fan of telling my (all male) coworkers cute cat stories and showing them pictures. Sometimes the crazy cat lady gene completely takes over without my permission. ;)
i want the drawer too, and miss monk's got it right: that is obviously a cat's ass-hat and it was made for her. >^..^<
ReplyDeleteI love those metal kitties, very cool!
