Weekend Treasures

Since the boyfriend has to work weekends now, I wandered around town and went to a few thrift stores and an estate sale to keep myself entertained. How is that different from the weekends when he didn't work, you ask? When I go alone, there's no one to talk sense into me and my inner hoarder. Luckily I didn't get myself into too much trouble this time.

I found...

02.10 280-2

A big wooden drawer. I have no idea what I'll do with it but it was too pretty to leave behind.
02.10 295-2

Mao checked it out to make sure it was okay.
02.10 298-2

Two adorable little hand embroidered pieces.
02.10 287-2

02.10 286-2

Two metal kitty figurines.
02.10 285-2

Three old painted doorknobs. No idea where I'll put them. I just have a thing for doorknobs.
02.10 283-2

And a velvety red hat.
02.10 288-3

I left the room for a minute, and came back to this. I think Miss Monk is confused about how to wear a hat.
02.10 309-2

Total spent: $20.

  1. That wooden drawer is a find! I love those! I love old door knobs as well! So many great finds!

  2. You should contact me next time you go estate sale hunting. Last time I went to one, I found really nice silver platters for cheap!

  3. Oh my I love those metal kitties! And I love your kitties. I was at work yesterday and these two people were talking about their kitties and I just wanted to jump in and bust out the pictures on my phone of mine and tell them all about my cats. I figured that would be creepy :)

  4. @Jenny: Isn't that drawer awesome? I just wish I knew what to do with it!

@Liliana: Next time I find one that looks good, I'm totally kidnapping you and taking you with me!

@Consider my dear: Yay kitties! I'm a big fan of telling my (all male) coworkers cute cat stories and showing them pictures. Sometimes the crazy cat lady gene completely takes over without my permission. ;)

  5. i want the drawer too, and miss monk's got it right: that is obviously a cat's ass-hat and it was made for her. >^..^<

  6. I love those metal kitties, very cool!
